HIPAA Checklist for New Hires: House Officers and Residents

All UCSF House Officers and Residents whether salaried or non salaried are required to have signed the UCSF Confidentiality Statement and completed UCSF HIPAA training. Documentation of individuals completing the HIPAA training will be the responsibility of the unit providing the training. Each unit sponsoring training will be expected to report which groups were trained and when.

Note for individuals who need access to clinical systems: Additional training and approval may be required for specific UCSF clinical systems, such as STOR, IDX, medical records. Contact the system owners and department managers for any additional requirements.
